Tirana Regional Council was assessed by the citizens for the timely evaluating the cases of families affected by emergencies

Tirana Regional Council in support of the DCM No.329, date 16.05.2012 “On the criteria and procedures for granting state financial assistance to cover damages caused by natural disasters or other disasters caused by human activity”, of the Instruction No. 263, date 24.05.2013 “On the criteria and procedures for granting state financial assistance to cover the damages caused by natural disasters or other disasters caused by human activity”, evaluated and transmitted in a record time and in accordance with the law on Financial Compensation, 209 files of residents of the administrative units of Tirana Municipality. The working group carried out verification of the official records of ascertainment and the compliance with of all legal obligations for these damages caused from floods and fires in dwellings in the Administrative Units of Ndroq, Baldushk, Kashar, Peza, Zall-Herr, and Kamza Municipality, also – Administrative Units No.1, No.2, No.3, No.6, No.8, No.9 and No.11 of Tirana Municipality. The end of 2016 was the most difficult for a part of Tirana’s residents, who were affected by the heavy floods during October and November. The most affected area in Tirana region was the Administrative Unit No.11, with 153 injured affected families. This assessment was made on the basis of field verification and documentation submitted by the affected families. The working group of Tirana Regional Council, in coordination with the respective administrative units, verified the documentation and its compliance according to the legal requirements. Following a transparent process by the Committee of Experts at Tirana Regional Council, there was assessed, the compensation measure for 209 affected families and were clarified the citizens for what will be compensated, and with which cases cannot be processed due to inaccuracies in documentation, helping to advance the process in full compliance with the law.
