In support of Law no. 139/2015 dated 17.12.2015 “On Local Self-Government”, Law no. 8756 dated on 26.3.2001 “On Civil Emergencies” of DCM no. 329, dated on 16 May 2012 “On the criteria and procedures for granting state financial assistance to cover damages caused by natural disasters or other disasters caused by human activity”, of Law no. 44/2015, dated 30.04.2015, the President of Tirana Regional Council Mr. Aldrin Dalipi ordered the establishment of a commission of experts from the Tirana Regional Council to assess the damage caused by natural or other disasters caused by human activity during 2018.
The established commission for such cases, for 2018 in Tirana Regional Council evaluated and transmitted in record time and in accordance with the Law on Compensation all files of residents from administrative units of Tirana Municipality and other municipalities of Tirana Region. The evaluation team carried out verification of the submitted documents and the fulfillment of all the legal obligations for these various damage disaster processes for residents in all administrative units.
The working group of the Tirana Regional Council in coordination with the respective administrative units verified their documentation in compliance with all the legal requirements.
Following a transparent process by the Commission of Experts at the Tirana Regional Council, the compensation measure was estimated for about 200 files of the affected families, but also clarified the citizens for what will be compensated and in which cases cannot be processed for lack of documentation inaccuracies, by helping this way to advance the process in full compliance with the law.
Tirana Regional Council showed maximum transparency for the process and resolved all cases addressed by receiving assessments from the citizens.
