From Friday to Sunday at midnight, the circulation of private vehicles in 8 regions of the country will be closed.
The announcement was made by the Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, through a Facebook post where he apologized and explained that this is the only way to curb the rapid spread of coronavirus in the country.
So far, the coronavirus has caused a victim in Durrës, while 15 people are infected. According to the authorities, the number of infected people will continue to increase.
Meanwhile, Rama explains that this is a “flu” that will affect many of us! 80% of those affected will go unnoticed. This means that all of us can have it, so even though we don’t feel anything, it is up to all of us to protect the elderly and the sick around us, because according to Rama we are transmitting to them we have “made fish” a problem of great.
“From Friday at 06.00 until Sunday at midnight, the traffic of private vehicles and interurban transport will be closed, towards Tirana and Durres or vice versa from Tirana and Durres to other areas of the country.
From Friday at 06.00 until Sunday at midnight, the circulation of private vehicles in Tirana and Durrës will be closed, as well as the interurban transport between Tirana and Durrës.
From Friday at 06.00 until Sunday at midnight, the circulation of private vehicles and urban vehicles in Shkodra, Lezha, Elbasan, Lushnje, Fier and Vlora will be closed.
Circulation in these territories will be open only to ambulances, vehicles carrying out public service functions and those transporting goods.
These extreme measures restricting freedom of movement are a necessity to protect every citizen, every family and Albania itself from the aggressive escalation of the coronavirus attack on us and our relatives and acquaintances.
