Today, on the occasion of the 5th of May, was paid homage in Tirana, to the martyrs of the Nation.
Present at the ceremony were the Chairman of the Parliament, Mr. Ilir Meta, Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Niko Peleshi, Minister of Defense, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, family members, veterans and relatives of the martyrs.
On behalf of the Regional Council of Tirana, Vice-President Ms. Bora Panajoti laid a wreath at the monument “Mother Albania”, in honor of the memory of the martyrs who died for the freedom of their homeland.
May 5th is the day of the eternal gratitude of the Albanian people to martyrs and heroes of the Anti- Fascist National Liberation War, who gave their lives to liberate the country.
