AARC representatives participated in the first meeting of the working group on the draft law “On Local Finances” which was held on 24th May 2016 at the Ministry of Finance.
The working group was presented with the objectives and issues related to the draft law “On Local Finances” presented by international and local experts of PLGP/USAID, and discussed the importance of having for the first time in Albania, an organic law on local finances and the importance of the drafting, public consultation and adoption of this law in time to ensure its awaited positive effects.
Representatives of AARC expressed their support on the initiative and approach in creating a multi-stakeholders’ working group for preparation of the draft law “On Local Finances” and assured once again their readiness as an association of local elected representatives, to contribute to the whole process until the completion of the law “On Local Finances”.
