On Tuesday, the first meeting for this year of the Consultative Council, the Central Government – Local Self-Government was held, which was chaired by Mr. Aldrin Dalipi, Chairman of the Tirana Regional Council.
During his speech, the President of the Tirana Region, Mr. Aldrin Dalipi said that this meeting coincides with an important moment for the local government and in particular for the citizens of the regions which have been damaged by the earthquake of November 26, 2019.
He appealed to the citizens to submit the relevant documents for the implementation of the online application procedure “My Home”.
Mr. Dalipi said that today’s meeting has several important decisions, some of which are related to the social aspect. The Vice President of the Consultative Council, Ms. Romina Kuko in a reaction on social networks said: “The third year of the Consultative Council Central Government-Local Self-Government finds us consolidated and connected with all key actors in government, parliament, local government, associations, partners.”
Part of this first meeting for 2020 was Mr. Bashkim Fino, Chairman of the Subcommittee of Local Government in the Albanian Parliament.
During his speech, MP Bashkim Fino praised the work of the Consultative Council as a mediator between the central and local government.
During the discussion of the drafts, Mr. Fino emphasized that in the parliamentary sub-committee of the Local Government he will raise his voice for the requests that come to the municipalities and the regions of the country.
Several draft environmental and social housing projects were presented at the roundtable, which were discussed with mayors, county mayors and central government representatives.
