“Discover Bashtova”, a cooperation agreement signed between Tirana Region and ODA Association for promotion of cultural tourism

President of Tirana Regional Council, Mr. Aldrin Dalipi, and the president of the ODA Association, Mrs. Zana Sina, signed a cooperation agreement on February 14th, 2019.
The purpose of this newly cooperation is to develop cultural tourism and economy in the region of Tirana.
The first project which this cooperation relates to is #DiscoverBashtova project, in which the parties commit themselves in carrying out cultural events with the participation of as many people as possible.
What is #DiscoverBashtova?
In the framework of cultural tourism and cultural heritage, it will be organized a dedicated day for the Fortress of Bashtova.
The main purpose of the activity is to promote local cultural tourism and cultural heritage by discovering the values of Bashtova Fortress as an important part of our history.
It is well known that in the recent years an important focus has been placed on cultural tourism to discover history and antiquity as one of the forgotten elements, which is a key element for the development of the cultural tourism.
Another important goal is to turn Albania into an European destination by presenting all its values as in any developed country. To promote this values are needed to organize tourist guides and events for the purpose of presenting with historical values, cultural heritage, architecture, handicrafts, etc.
