Tirana Regional Council is monitoring and assisting closely the situation created as a result of cold weather in our country these last days.
In Tirana Region, it is established the Emergencies’ Headquarter, which in coordination with municipalities of the region is assisting in providing urgent assistance to vulnerable categories of citizens.
Municipal Police officers continued to work intensively to assist all persons in street conditions, by accompanying them to the social centers, where they receive the necessary assistance in food, clothing and medical issues.
Officers of fire brigades are also on alert and ready to extinguish all fires that have fallen in these days of freezing in Tirana, while use of electric or other fuels for heating has increased.
At the same time, structures of Tirana Municipality are working to keep passable and safe all roads, both in urban and rural areas.
Emergencies’ Headquarter in Tirana Region is continuing its work to assess the damages caused by recent situations.
