“Integrated approach, homogeneous procedure, and common mechanisms” is the subject of the conclusions of the project “Holistic” developed in the region of Molise in Italy.
The project started in 2014, funded by the EU, articulated in 9 activities, all dealing with the protection of territory from seismic and wildfire risks. Eight states are involved: Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece and Albania.
President of Tirana Regional Council, in the capacity of Vice President of the Adriatic-Ionian EuroRegion explained the importance of common strategies in such a neuralgic European area.
“The most important is to have the spirit of solidarity. It is also important to have uniform procedures, to react where and when each of us needs. Another important thing is that today Europe, the Balkans, our countries, are faced with the influx of migrants and this must unite us to have the same strategy and react with a clear and precise coordination, “said Mr. Aldrin Dalipi.
It is estimated that in 30 years the average temperature has increased by 7.9 milli grade and meteorological phenomena are added in time. These are clear signals of a significant climate change that increases hydro-climatic risk.
